Misty: "I would tell myself... If you haven't found The Lord yet, find him."
Kate: "You hadn't found God yet at my age?"
Misty: "No. But I wish I had.
I have epilepsy, I had a daughter at 15 and at your age I was a meth addict. I'd probably be dead by now. But one day I found a book on the ground of the meth house where I was staying-- it was just a little book, something about Jesus's love. I was kinda tweaked out, you know, at the time and I stayed up all night reading it. I think it was put there for me to find. The next morning I packed my bags and left that house and never went back...
We all try to fill our hearts with things: money, love, drugs, men, whatever. Now I fill my heart with The Lord. I still have a long way to go but he's helped me through so much. I have a husband, two granddaughters, an apartment and I've never been happier."
