I've learned that following your gut is the best thing for you. The best thing I've done in my relationship thus far (or in any of my relationships) is just say what's bothering me when it' bothering me, AT THAT MOMENT, or at least very soon after. If you're with the right person, they'll listen and be understanding, there will be a conversation and then you'll both move on. There's no point to hold things in, it will just drive you crazy with anxiety.
Find the simple things that make you feel good. Riding a bike, going on a walk, planting a garden, reading a book. These things may not be fun for other people, but who cares!
